Plug Assists: Form tooling is just not complete without a proper assist assembly. J&R Plastics has a close relationship with a leading composite foam plug vender which ensures we select the appropriate plug material for your project. We then design, program, and CNC machine each plug to guarantee repeatability from one plug to the next. Our goal is to provide you with the best plug assist available to form even the most difficult of parts.
When using this high-tech plug material with low thermal conductivity, heat loss from the sheet to the plug will not be a factor, in turn virtually eliminating plug sticking and marking. The results are clear, rigid, and properly formed parts that will meet and exceed the elaborate testing of your quality control department.
